More than a building. A Place for Healing.

With your support, we can bring a new, purpose-built Luna Centre to life; a place where we can meet growing demand and the needs of a growing population. Where children, youth and families can access everything they need under one roof, with room to grow for generations to come.

Luna supports almost 5,000 young people annually – that’s a 310% increase in just over a decade. And we are doing this work in a space that was designed for 1,000 children, youth, and families. Calgary’s population is also expected to rise to 1.9 million by 2034; with children as the fastest growing segment.

Demand is rising. Calgary and area are growing. Luna must grow too.

A Place Built For Healing

Every child deserves a place to be safe, a place to be heard, and a place to heal. Since 2013, Luna has helped more than 30,000 children, youth, and families walk the path from trauma to healing, with compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment, so no child faces that journey alone.

Luna's current centre was designed to serve 1,000 children a year. Today we're serving 5X times that number, and Calgary keeps growing. Our centre is beyond capacity, and demand keeps growing too. Now Luna must grow.

We’re raising $7 million to bring a new, purpose-built Luna Centre to life. This isn’t simply about creating space to meet rising demand; it’s about building on 13 years of experience delivering a strong, trauma-informed response to child abuse, shaped by the expertise of our multidisciplinary team and what children and families have told us they need to heal. The new Centre will offer greater privacy, enhanced technology, improved accessibility, quieter spaces for families, expanded individual therapy space, a dedicated group therapy room, state-of-the-art remote testimony rooms, and more. And once we relocate, we’ll raise a further $10 million over ten years to sustain the Centre and the services it provides.

Demolition officially began in June, with construction of Luna’s new Centre taking place shortly after. Watch our latest construction update video, showcasing the progress of the new Luna Centre.

Creating Space to Be Heard: Soundproofing

Good soundproofing should fade into the background. It shouldn't be something a child thinks about when they walk into a room. Instead, they should simply experience a space that feels calm, private and comfortable.
