Bringing Luna’s New Centre To Life
A purpose-built space for children, youth and families, made possible by partners who believe in Luna.
As Calgary continues to grow, so does the need for specialized spaces where children and youth impacted by abuse can access the support, care and resources they need. We are taking an important step toward meeting that need with our new purpose-built facility, a space thoughtfully designed around the experiences of the children, youth and families we serve.
Bringing this vision to life takes more than a building. It takes a shared commitment to creating an environment where young people feel safe, families feel supported, and the professionals working alongside them have the space and resources they need to do their best work.
Thanks to the generosity, expertise and collaboration of our incredible vendor partners, that vision is becoming a reality.
Partners Who Share Our Vision
A project of this scale would not be possible without the organizations that have stepped forward to contribute their products, expertise, time and resources. Our vendor partners have played an important role in helping us bring the new Luna Centre to life, demonstrating what can happen when businesses invest in the well-being of their community.
Their contributions extend beyond the materials and services they provide. They represent a shared understanding that the spaces where children receive support matter — and that investing in those spaces is an investment in the future of our community.
Shearer Design: Thoughtful Design With Purpose

Thoughtful design is about understanding how a space will be experienced by the people who use it. At Luna, that means considering the needs of children and youth who may arrive feeling uncertain or overwhelmed, families looking for guidance, and professionals who need the right environment to deliver specialized services.
We are grateful to Shearer Design for helping shape a facility that puts these needs first and reflects the compassionate, collaborative approach at the heart of Luna's work.

The expertise and commitment of Labbe Leech have been instrumental in advancing the construction of the new Luna Centre. Working together to translate the vision for the facility into a functional, welcoming space is an important part of ensuring the building meets the needs of the people who will use it every day.
We are thankful for their partnership and for the care being put into creating a space that will support Luna's work well into the future.
Wolseley Canada: Making a Meaningful Contribution
Wolseley Canada is among the valued partners helping make the new Luna Centre possible, contributing products in support of the project.
“Wolseley Canada is honoured to provide a product donation to Luna Child & Youth Advocacy Centre,” says Alex Nahvi, Vice President Plumbing and Marketing at Wolseley Canada. “We believe in making meaningful contributions in the communities where our customers and associates work, and Luna plays an important role in providing a safe, compassionate environment for those who need it most.”
We are grateful to Wolseley Canada for recognizing the importance of this work and for helping us create a facility designed to serve children, youth and families for years to come.
Building for a Growing Calgary
Calgary's continued growth means more families need access to specialized supports and services. As one of Alberta's nine Child and Youth Advocacy Centres, Luna works alongside a multidisciplinary team to support children and youth impacted by abuse, helping coordinate services and reduce the stress that can come with navigating multiple systems.
The new Centre represents an investment in our ability to meet those needs today and into the future. By creating more appropriate spaces for service delivery and collaboration, the facility will help strengthen the environment in which children, youth and families receive support.
Just as importantly, the new building reflects the collective commitment of a community that believes every child deserves to be heard, supported and treated with dignity.
A Shared Investment in the Future
At Luna, we know that creating a safe and supportive environment takes a community. Our vendor partners have demonstrated that supporting children and youth can take many forms, from donating essential products to contributing specialized design and construction expertise.
Their generosity and collaboration are helping turn a vision into a lasting resource for Calgary and the surrounding communities we serve.
We’d like to thank the following vendors for their support, and generosity as we’ve been hard at work building Luna’s new trauma-informed centre:
To all the partners contributing to the new Luna Centre: thank you for believing in our mission and helping us build a space where children, youth and families can find the support they deserve.
