Child abuse is one of the most devastating and widespread challenges facing children and families in Alberta. It doesn’t discriminate – it crosses all boundaries of income, culture, geography, and background. And it can leave lasting scars.
But as profound as the harm can be, so too is the power of healing when the right support is there.
Luna is moving to a new home.
To bring the new Luna Centre to life – a purpose-built space where children, youth, and families impacted by abuse can begin their healing journey – we must raise $7 million.
This new centre will allow us to do more, respond faster, and care better for every single child and youth who comes through our doors.
Case For Support:
Luna’s Case for Support is a guiding document that outlines our vision for the future and the critical need behind our move into a new space. It shares the growing demand for child and youth advocacy services in our community, the impact of our work, and the opportunities a new facility will create for children, youth, and families accessing support after abuse and trauma. The document also details our fundraising priorities, project goals, and the ways donors, partners, and community members can help bring this next chapter to life. By investing in Luna’s future, supporters are helping create a safe, welcoming, and healing environment for the children and youth who need it most.
This is more than a construction project, it’s a commitment:
• To every child who needs someone to believe them.
• To every youth struggling to feel safe again.
• To every caregiver and family doing their best in the wake of trauma.
• To every community member who believes in protecting our most vulnerable.
Help us create a new Luna Centre that will help thousands of childrenand youth each year, and for years to come.
The new Luna Centre will be more than just a building, it will be a purpose-built sanctuary of safety, privacy, and healing, designed for children, youth, and families.
